Racing Meeting: Lancia showcases its current sporting activity and 2026 programmes

Celebration of the protagonists of the 2025 Lancia Trophy, along with the presentation of Lancia’s 2026 motorsport programs in Italy, confirming the second edition of the Lancia Trophy within the CIAR Sparco and introducing the new Ypsilon HF Racing Rally6 category.

  • Celebration of the protagonists of the 2025 Lancia Trophy, along with the presentation of Lancia’s 2026 motorsport programs in Italy, confirming the second edition of the Lancia Trophy within the CIAR Sparco and introducing the new Ypsilon HF Racing Rally6 category.
  • A look toward Europe and international programs, with the announcement of Lancia’s participation in the ERC with an allItalian team.
  • “Honor Club” recognition from ItaliaRALLY to Lancia Corse HF, awarded for the brand’s return to competition; the prize was collected by Roberta Zerbi during the official ceremony at the Racing Meeting in Vicenza.
  • On display, the full HF family: from the Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale taking part in WRC2, to the Rally4 HF at the heart of the Lancia Trophy, and the road versions — the 280hp electric Ypsilon HF, embodying the HF – High Fidelity concept in terms of agility and dynamic character, and the Ypsilon HF Line hybrid, which interprets Lancia’s sporty DNA in a more accessible way, focusing on driving precision and balance.

From 7 to 8 February 2026, the sixth edition of the Racing Meeting took place at the Vicenza Expo Centre, now the leading Italian motorsport exhibition. Conceived and organised by Miki Biasion, the event once again confirmed its role as a reference platform for fans, professionals and key figures in the racing world, strengthening the dialogue between heritage, present and future vision.

Within this context, Lancia played a leading role with a dedicated stand, designed to present in a clear and consistent way the brand’s return to competition and the strategy guiding its sporting development. A journey built on solid content, technical credibility and a deep connection with Lancia’s DNA.

At the heart of the display were four models that clearly represent the brand’s new sporting and stylistic direction.

The Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale, the pinnacle of Lancia’s motorsport programme, is the car with which the brand has returned to compete at the highest international level in WRC2, embodying the synthesis of performance, reliability and technical development in line with the latest FIA regulations. Alongside it, the Ypsilon Rally4 HF, the cornerstone of national sporting programmes across Europe and of the Trofeo Lancia, confirms its role as an accessible training car, designed to guide a new generation of drivers into competitive motorsport.

Completing the sporting narrative are the road-going versions of the new Ypsilon: the New Ypsilon HF electric with 280 hp, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds, translating the brand’s racing spirit into a contemporary high-performance offering; and the New Ypsilon HF Line hybrid with 110 hp, which brings HF styling codes into the range in an elegant and accessible form.

During the Racing Meeting, Lancia also celebrated the protagonists of the Trofeo Lancia 2025, awarding the drivers who contributed to making the return-to-competition season both a sporting and human success. A championship that marked a historic chapter for the brand, distinguished by top-level results, record participation numbers and strong involvement of young talents and teams. The Trofeo once again proved to be a central tool for scouting, training and driver development, enabling Lancia to secure the Italian Drivers’ and Manufacturers’ Titles in the 2-Wheel-Drive category of the CIAR Sparco, in its comeback season.

It was in Vicenza that Lancia presented its 2026 sporting programmes, confirming the second edition of the Trofeo Lancia within the Campionato Italiano Assoluto Rally Sparco. The successful format remains unchanged, with an even richer prize fund, 12 drivers awarded at each round, and the major new introduction of the Ypsilon HF Racing Rally6. The final prize is also confirmed: if the Champion is Under 35, they will become an official Lancia Corse HF driver in 2027.

CALENDAR: SEASON OPENER AT IL CIOCCO

The calendar format remains unchanged, with 6 rounds across 5 events.

The Trofeo will start at the Rally Il Ciocco, a new entry for the series, on 29 March, followed by the Rally Due Valli on 7 June. The Verona event will also mark the debut of the Rally6 category, which will then follow the Rally4 entries for the rest of the season.

The Rally di Roma Capitale, also valid for the FIA ERC, is scheduled from 3 to 5 July and, as last year, will count as two separate Trofeo rounds: the first two days as Round 1 and the final day as Round 2.

The Rally Regione Piemonte, which last year marked Lancia’s official return to rallying, will take place on 2 August, while the season finale is confirmed at the Rallye Sanremo, during the weekend of 18 October.

THE LANCIA CORSE HF VILLAGE RETURNS, ENHANCED BY THE ARRIVAL OF THE YPSILON HF RACING RALLY6

All registered crews will be hosted within the Lancia Corse HF Village, the true hub of the Trofeo and a meeting point for professionals and fans alike. All competitors will wear the official Lancia Corse HF racing suits and championship apparel, both branded Sparco.

Crews competing with the Ypsilon Rally4 HF will be eligible for the overall classification as well as one of the three category standings:

  • Junior: Under 25 (born from 1 January 2002)
  • Master: Ages 25–35 (born between 1 January 1991 and 31 December 2001)
  • Expert: Over 35 (born before 1 January 1991)

The new Ypsilon HF Racing Rally6, the major novelty of the 2026 Trofeo Lancia, will feature its own dedicated category. The car will compete in the same events as Rally4 entries, starting from the Rally Due Valli, allowing teams to optimise both costs and logistics. Thanks to its low running costs, it will enable many enthusiasts to fulfil their dream of becoming rally drivers at the wheel of a modern, safe and highly enjoyable car.

AN EVEN RICHER PRIZE FUND, OFFICIAL SEAT CONFIRMED FOR 2027

The Trofeo Lancia prize fund remains among the most significant in the national rally scene and continues to grow in 2026. Drivers competing with a Ypsilon Rally4 HF will share a total prize value of €160,000, with €22,500 awarded at each round. If the Champion is Under 35, they will become an official Lancia Corse HF driver in 2027, with an important new option: choosing between a full FIA ERC season with the Ypsilon Rally4 HF or competing in the CIAR Sparco with the Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale, already a WRC2 contender.

Junior and Master category winners (if not overall Champions) will receive €10,000, while the Expert category winner will receive €5,000.
Drivers competing in the Ypsilon HF Racing Rally6 category will share a total prize value of €15,000, with €3,000 awarded at each round, plus a final prize consisting of a Rally in Italy with the Ypsilon Rally4 HF in 2027.

REGISTRATIONS OPEN: THE RACE FOR THE 2026 TITLE BEGINS

Registrations for the Trofeo Lancia 2026 officially opened on 7 February 2026. The entry form and a provisional version of the Sporting Regulations (currently under approval by ACI Sport) are available at trofeolancia.it, in the DOCS section.

FIA ERC: LANCIA RETURNS TO THE EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP WITH AN ALL-ITALIAN TEAM

Lancia also outlined its European sporting programmes, confirming the Trofeo Lancia as the cornerstone of a broader strategy connecting national activity with international pathways — from the Academy to European championships — with the aim of supporting structured talent development.

The Lancia press conference at the Racing Meeting was attended by Geronimo La Russa, President of ACI, and Giovanni Tombolato, Extraordinary Deputy Commissioner of ACI, underlining the institutional and sporting relevance of the project. Together with Lancia management and Miki Biasion, the drivers competing in the Lancia FIA ERC programme were officially presented.

The official Lancia FIA ERC programme will field three cars in Lancia Corse HF colours, managed by the FPF team:

  • Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale for Andrea Mabellini / Virginia Lenzi
  • Ypsilon Rally4 HF for Francesco Dei Ceci / Danilo Fappani
  • Ypsilon Rally4 HF for Davide Pesavento / TBD, returning to international competition thanks to the prize won in the Trofeo Lancia 2025

Further details of the programme, developed with the key support of ACI Sport, will be announced in the coming days.

LANCIA AT THE RACING MEETING

Strengthening the brand narrative, Lancia was also featured in the “Italia da Corsa” exhibition, the cultural heart of the Racing Meeting 2026, with a selection of iconic cars from its motorsport heritage: from the 1920s Lancia Lambda that competed in the Targa Florio, to the Lancia Aurelia B20 of the Mille Miglia, the Delta Safari, and the LC2 Endurance. A unique heritage that continues to dialogue with the present and inspire the brand’s sporting future.

“Over the years, the Racing Meeting has become the natural home of Italian rallying,” said Miki Biasion. “Seeing Lancia as a protagonist here, with such a concrete and structured sporting project, is a great source of pride. There is enthusiasm and passion, but above all a clear vision focused on the future, starting with young drivers and the authentic values of this sport.”

“For Lancia, rallying is a choice of coherence,” commented Roberta Zerbi, CEO of Lancia. “Motorsport is part of our genetic heritage, and today we interpret it in a contemporary way, as a platform for innovation, training and dialogue with performance-driving enthusiasts. This last point is particularly close to my heart: supporting the new generations of young drivers who approach this sport with passion and commitment, by providing them with the right cars. In Monte Carlo, as here in Vicenza, we have been able to experience first-hand how Lancia’s return is both deeply felt and truly credible. It is a journey that involves rallying, but also the broader evolution of our brand: from the New Ypsilon to the arrival, in the second half of the year, of Gamma, produced in Melfi.”

With increasingly rich content, growing international reach and a clear, structured sporting vision, the Racing Meeting 2026 confirms itself as a key event for European motorsport and an ideal platform to tell the story of Lancia’s sporting renaissance.
