69th GENEVA MOTOR SHOW: LANCIA Z

The MPV range is represented at the Geneva Motor Show by the Lancia Z: elegant, comfortable and environment-friendly, with performance worthy of the best Lancia tradition.

The version displayed is the 5-seater LX, powered by the 2.0 aspirated 16-valve engine which delivers a maximum of 133 bhp EC at 5,500 rpm and a peak torque of 18.7 kgm at 4,200 rpm. Powered by this engine the Lancia Z reaches a top speed of 186 km/h, with average fuel consumption of 10.3 litres/100 km.

The standard outfit on this version is particularly comprehensive, and includes ABS, a driver's airbag, electric windows front and rear, foglights, electrically folding door mirrors and the Lancia Code system.

The Lancia Z is available with two different outfits: LS, with 5 seats that can be increased to 7 and LX with 5, 6 or 7 seats. The model's many strong points include its functionality and versatility. There is plenty of room inside and it can be adapted to different requirements. It is extremely welcoming, upholstered in exclusive materials like Alcantara®, leather or velour (on the LS outfit).

A sober, linear elegance which is expressed in a body without sharp corners, which is essential but sophisticated, with vast glazed surfaces which create a roomy, luminous environment.

In November, Aster grey and Emerald green joined the colour range, and the interiors now include a folding oddments shelf on the front seat squabs.

The engines of the Lancia Z 1998 are powerful and flexible. In addition to the 2.0 16v on display for the first time at the Geneva Show, the range includes the petrol driven 147 bhp-108 kW 2.0 turbo and the 12-valve 109 bhp-80 kW 2.1 turbodiesel.
