Fiat is sponsor of the Four Nations Diving Trophy

Named European Capital of Sports 2015, Turin takes the stage once again with the second edition of the Four Nations Diving Trophy from 7th to 9th December.

Named European Capital of Sports 2015, Turin takes the stage once again with the second edition of the Four Nations Diving Trophy from 7th to 9th December. Teams from Germany, Italy, Russia and Ukraine are preparing to take up the challenge at the Monumental swimming pool.

Fiat will be sponsoring the prestigious event and making a fleet of Freemont, Ducato Panorama and Scudo Panorama vehicles for transferring athletes and officials available to the organisers.

More in detail, the Panorama versions of Scudo and Ducato are the epitome of Fiat's comprehensive people-carrier range being suitable for professional use (taxis, shuttles, transport of passengers with special needs) and private use (families, sport teams, communities) alike. Fiat Freemont, the best selling seven-seater in Italy, is equally versatile and provides perfect answers to the needs of modern families and motorists looking for a roomy, comfortable and functional vehicle for their dynamic everyday lifestyle and weekend leisure.

The Italian team started training for the event in mid September. The line-up counts eleven athletes on the diving board: Giorgia Barp (Triestina Nuoto), Michele Benedetti (Marina Militare/Lazio Nuoto), Elena Bertocchi (Esercito/CC Milano), Andreas Billi (Carabinieri/Dibiasi), Tania Cagnotto (Fiamme Gialle/Bolzano Nuoto), Francesco Dell'Uomo (Fiamme Oro Roma/Bolzano Nuoto), Francesca Dallapè (Esercito/Buonconsiglio Nuoto), Maria Marconi (Fiamme Gialle/Lazio Nuoto), Tommaso Rinaldi (Marina Militare/Trieste Tuffi), Giovanni Tocci (Esercito/Tubisider Cosenza) and Maicol Verzotto (Fiamme Oro Roma/Bolzano Nuoto).

By sponsoring the event, Fiat is confirming its commitment and focus on various disciplines practised on any level - from football, athletics, sailing and basketball, to swimming and canoeing - in addition to directly taking part in car racing, the most obvious sport for an auto maker. After all, sports and Fiat Group Automobiles brands are driven by the same principles: to work day-by-day with determination to reach excellent performance levels and express the potentials of individuals and of the team as a whole. This holds true for the athletes competing for the Four Nations Diving Trophy and for the Fiat team who takes to the road everyday with their customers.
