FIAT AT THE 72nd INTERNATIONAL GENEVA MOTOR SHOW

The Fiat stand features the world premier of the New Ulysse, the MPV that replaces the current Fiat model.

A lot of space has been set aside for this model and it is described in a separate press release. A Lake Blue 2.2 JTD is exhibited on a rotating, angled platform that tilts to show off the car to its best advantage. A little further down, another two versions are accessible to visitors: one equipped with the new 150 kW (204 bhp) 3.0 V6 24v and the self-adaptive automatic transmission, the other with the 100 kW (136 bhp) 2.0 16v. The New Fiat Ulysse is devoted to customers who want a comfortable, roomy, versatile MPV with plenty of seats that offers great practicality.

And so from the Ulysse to the Fiat Stilo. The area set aside for Fiat's medium-sized compact features a fresh, dynamic setting in the Stilo's own inimitable spirit. Two cars are on view in the middle of a rotating platform. These are a Broom Yellow three-door Stilo equipped with the 125 kW (170 bhp) 2.4 20v Selespeed and a Steel Grey 85 kW (115 bhp) 1.9 JTD Dynamic in the five-door version. The platform is also surrounded by another three cars: two five-door Stilos, one equipped with a 76 kW (103 bhp) 1.6 16v engine outfitted with items from the Accessories range and the other with a 98 kW (133 bhp) 1.8 16v. Plus a three-door Dynamic version, also 1.8 16v. The area devoted to the Fiat Stilo continues through a part of the stand that has been divided into different topic areas that describe the car in detail. Here cross-sectional panels describe the model's equipment and attributes: safety, roominess, interior modularity and telematics. The topic of telematics is illustrated by a car equipped with CONNECT. An attendant is on hand to explain the controls and functions.

Visitors to the Geneva show can also admire the Fiat Punto in the brand new 1.8 16v 5-door and 1.2 16v 3-door Emotion versions that are the outcome of Fiat's new Diamond sales strategy.

A place of honour is also reserved for the new Multipla Model Year. The car has been enhanced by new standard equipment and options and can be seen in the 1.6 16v version at Geneva.

The array of Fiat models continues with two special versions: the Barchetta Naxos and Seicento Brush, two youthful and informal cars. And we must not forget the Fiat Doblò, shown in the Malibù special series equipped with a 1.6 16v petrol engine.

Behind the grey column that delimits the stand you can see an area devoted to the Autonomy Programme, the initiative the Fiat Group set up in 1995 to produce cars for people with reduced motor capacities. Here you can see a Fiat Stilo 1.6 three-door version outfitted with special devices to help disabled people to drive. The project is also illustrated by several structural panels, while three Internet stations allow visitors to the show to log on to the site www.fiatautonomy.com.

As you can see, the Fiat stand is packed with new features and set off to its best advantage by fresh, youthful surroundings. It is created using a host of different colours and materials picked to represent the technological sophistication of the models on show and our 'Life in primary colours' philosophy. The stand also includes refreshment points set up for us by Lavazza so that visitors to the Geneva show can enjoy an Italian espresso.
