FIAT is strengthening its strategic role within Stellantis through a new leadership structure, effective September 1, 2026, in line with the priorities presented at Stellantis Investor Day on May 21 and with the FaSTLAne 2030 strategic plan.
The plan assigns FIAT a central role in Stellantis’ global strategy as one of the Company’s four Global Brands, supported by the deployment of new global platforms, technologies and industrial solutions across international markets.
In this context, Arnaud Belloni has been appointed CEO of the FIAT, Abarth and Lancia brands and Chief Marketing Officer for Europe, reporting to Emanuele Cappellano, Chief Operating Officer for Enlarged Europe.
Belloni returns to Stellantis with extensive international automotive experience and deep expertise in marketing and brand strategy. He previously spent 16 years with the Company, holding senior marketing positions across its Italian and French brands, before joining Renault Group, where he served as Global Chief Marketing Officer from November 2020 and subsequently as Chief Branding Officer for all the Group’s brands from May 2023.
“We are delighted to welcome Arnaud back to Stellantis. His global perspective, creative leadership and deep knowledge of our brands will be invaluable assets, as we strengthen marketing across Europe and shape the next chapter for FIAT, Abarth and Lancia,” said Emanuele Cappellano, Chief Operating Officer, Enlarged Europe.
In his new role, Belloni will lead the strategic direction of FIAT, alongside Abarth and Lancia, helping to further strengthen the alignment between brand, product and marketing strategies and supporting FIAT’s global ambitions.
Gaetano Thorel will continue to lead FIAT and Abarth in Enlarged Europe and will also take responsibility for Lancia, with a functional reporting line to Arnaud Belloni. His expanded remit will support closer coordination across the three brands and an increasingly effective execution of their commercial priorities throughout the region.
After more than 30 years of significant contributions across several of the Company’s brands, Olivier François will support Arnaud Belloni through mid-October to ensure a smooth transition.
During his tenure, François held a series of senior leadership positions across Stellantis and its predecessor companies, including CEO roles for Chrysler, FIAT, Abarth, DS Automobiles and Lancia, as well as Global Chief Marketing Officer. Throughout his career, he played a pivotal role in shaping brand strategies and developing award-winning advertising campaigns worldwide.
François will subsequently continue to support Stellantis as a Company Strategic Advisor, contributing across a broader range of strategic topics, including brand and product strategy.
“On behalf of the entire Stellantis team, I want to thank Olivier for his many years of outstanding contributions and leadership across our brands and marketing organization. We wish him every success in his next career chapter and look forward to continuing to benefit from his experience and expertise as a strategic advisor to our Company,” added Antonio Filosa, Chief Executive Officer of Stellantis.
The new organization comes as FIAT continues to broaden its product offering and international reach. FaSTLAne 2030 foresees a significant increase in the brand’s market coverage, supported by new global products designed to address an increasingly diverse range of customer needs.
Following Grande Panda, Grizzly and Grizzly Fastback will represent two of the next key additions to FIAT’s C-segment offering, further expanding the brand’s presence in one of the most important areas of the European market.
With this new organization, FIAT aims to translate its role as a Global Brand into further concrete growth opportunities, leveraging international scale, product innovation and an increasingly broad portfolio while remaining true to the values that have always defined the brand: simplicity, accessibility, ingenuity and closeness to people’s everyday lives.
