Turin’s Patron Saint celebration reached its thrilling peak on June 24th with “Torino is Fantastic”, the highly anticipated public concert sponsored by FIAT. Piazza Vittorio Veneto was transformed into a spectacular stage where music, lights, and emotion united the city in one unforgettable night.
Olivier Francois, FIAT CEO and Stellantis Global CMO, commented: "FIAT and Turin have shared a profound bond for over 125 years, evident in the city's places, people, and spirit. The 'Torino is Fantastic' concert was specifically championed by FIAT to emphasize this enduring relationship, and the gathering of over 40,000 people from Turin for the concert in one of the city's most iconic squares is a powerful testament to this connection and makes me extremely proud." He continued, "FIAT's commitment extends beyond car production, focusing on affordable, sustainable mobility and social relevance. The renewed commitment to produce the new 500 Hybrid at the Mirafiori plant by November this year embodies a vision that seamlessly blends innovation, tradition, industry, and community, and fosters optimism for the future."
The show, hosted by beloved TV personality Gerry Scotti with a guest appearance by the singer Noemi, brought together a star-studded line-up: Alessandra Amoroso, Annalisa, Antonello Venditti, Gianna Nannini, Il Volo, Mahmood, Tananai, and the talented finalists from Amici lit up the stage with electrifying performances. Each artist performed three of their most iconic songs, creating a dynamic and diverse musical journey that kept the audience captivated throughout the evening.
The evening’s standout moment came when international icon Shaggy arrived on the helipad of the Lingotto with an electrifying rooftop performance of the recently released new dynamic version of his iconic hit “Boombastic” —celebrating 30 years of the song and creating an unforgettable multimedia experience. After that, adding to the magic of the night, Shaggy and Noemi performed a heartfelt duet of “Angel”, blending reggae and Italian soul in a powerful moment of musical connection.
Noemi also delivered a monologue dedicated to the Lingotto—highlighting its historical importance as one of Italy’s main industrial hubs, and a masterpiece of modern architecture. With an emotional review of the ‘Pista 500’, the rooftop garden featuring over 300,000 plants and the ‘Casa FIAT’ exhibition space housed within the Pinacoteca Agnelli, the singer highlighted FIAT's deep and historical connection with art and culture of the Piedmontese capital.
The event, produced by Friends & Partners, concluded with Turin’s traditional fireworks show, drawing thousands to the square and surrounding streets. It was more than a concert, it was a celebration of Turin’s identity, music, and its deep, enduring connection with FIAT.
The concert will be broadcast on Canale 5 on June 29th, a chance to relive the magic for those who were there and those who missed it.
