DS, SPONSOR OF THE EXHIBITION “UNE BRÈVE HISTOIRE DE L’AVENIR” AT LE LOUVRE

The exhibition Une brève histoire de l’avenir opens to the public today. This major event in the autumn schedule of Le Louvre is inspired by the book of the same name by Jacques Attali*, which ponders the major invariables in the history of humanity as an invitation to imagine what the world might look like in 2050. DS is supporting this exciting artistic event in the heart of Paris as sponsor of the Louvre Museum. This is particularly appropriate given the brand’s propensity for drawing inspiration from an exceptional heritage to imagine the shape of things to come. The exhibition runs till 4 January 2016.

DS, SPONSOR OF THE EXHIBITION “UNE BRÈVE HISTOIRE DE L’AVENIR” AT LE LOUVRE

Under its partnership with the Louvre Museum in Paris, DS is sponsoring Une brève histoire de l'avenir, an exhibition open to the public through till 4 January 2016.

Le Louvre hosts some of the world's most exceptional art collections and has been a major protagonist on the French cultural scene for more than two hundred years, enjoying an outstanding worldwide reputation for excellence and consistently offering the public some truly outstanding events. Its latest, eminently avant garde, exhibition - Une brève histoire de l'avenir - invites visitors on a "present-day journey that examines the past to enlighten our view of the future".

Throughout the exhibition, with its two hundred exhibits, a dialogue emerges between figurehead works from the past and contemporary artistic creation, to present a theme-guided chronological appraisal of the major phases undergone by society over the ages and the gradual development of the way people are today.

"We're very happy to be partnering the Louvre Museum on this exhibition, which blends heritage with avant-garde, and classical with modern culture. Like DS, Le Louvre opens to constant renewal, seeking surprise and delight with its sights set squarely on tomorrow," notes DS chief Yves Bonnefont.

Just like this exhibition, DS explores the future by drawing inspiration from its past, an exceptional heritage. Two key dates illustrate this avant garde outlook: 1955 and 2015.

1955 saw birth of the DS, a car that revolutionized the automotive landscape of its epoch. DS holds an important place in the stories of many French people and it championed French engineering excellence throughout the world. Sixty years it enjoys unparalleled status as an automotive design legend.

2015: history continues with launch of the French automotive brand DS, which develops by drawing from the heritage handed down by the original DS.

Innovation, excellence and avant-garde are the keywords, and the values that guide DS in its approach to the future.
