Following the terrible flooding that affected the region around Valencia, Formula E moved the official tests ahead of Season 11 that were scheduled at the Ricardo Tormo circuit to the Spanish capital of Madrid. This important prelude to the opening round of the championship, which will take place at the beginning of December in Brazil, allowed the 11 teams to get a first taste of the performance of their cars, which are now four-wheel drive.
As for DS Automobiles and PENSKE AUTOSPORT, the new DS E-TENSE FE25 that has been developed by DS Performance over the last two years showed plenty of efficiency. Jean-Eric Vergne, a two-time champion of the sport, and the talented Maximilian Günther regularly placed their cars in the top 10 during the six sessions scheduled from 5-8 November at the Jarama circuit.
Alongside the official pre-season tests, Formula E also organised this year a test dedicated to women drivers for the very first time. These brilliant athletes, currently taking part in a variety of different motorsport championships all across the world, had the chance to showcase their talent driving the Gen3 Evo single-seaters participating in Season 11 of Formula E.
For DS PENSKE, British driver Jessica Edgar – an F1 Academy driver – and Beitske Visser from Holland, a well-known personality in endurance racing and the W Series, drove the two DS E-TENSE FE25 cars. After the three-hour session, they set the 11th and sixth fastest times respectively of the 18 drivers classified.
DS Automobiles has now got its 10th season of Formula E well underway: a record for a premium manufacturer in this series. The marque has been involved in the all-electric championship since 2015, with a stunning record of achievement made up of two double titles, 51 podiums, 16 wins, and 24 pole positions.
The first race of Season 11 will take place on December 7 in Sao Paulo (Brazil).
Eugenio Franzetti, DS Performance director:
“DS Automobiles has begun its 10th season of Formula E, which is great news! It’s even more exciting now that we are starting this season with a new car and a new driver line-up. With JEV and Max driving the DS E-TENSE FE25 we have had a good test here in Spain, but we know that the real performance will only be seen in Sao Paulo. One thing is for sure: the competition will be closer than ever this year! And there’s another thing that’s certain as well – we’re going to do absolutely everything we can to be right up there among the leaders.”
Key figures since DS Automobiles entered Formula E:

- 4 championship titles
- 16 victories
