AMSTERDAM/WUXI, September 11, 2026 – Stellantis Pro One and UQI Robotics today announced plans to collaborate on autonomous delivery solutions that address the evolving needs of logistics operators and professional customers. The initiative will initially focus on Europe, with opportunities in additional international markets to be assessed as it advances.
The initiative brings together Stellantis Pro One's expertise in commercial mobility and understanding of professional customers' operational needs with UQI Robotics' advanced capabilities in autonomous logistic, artificial intelligence and robotics. Together, the companies intend to explore new approaches to last-mile logistics enabled by autonomous technologies.
As part of the collaboration, Stellantis Pro One and UQI Robotics plan to explore the further development of Box-on-Wheels, an autonomous logistics vehicle set to be unveiled at IAA Transportation 2026. The initiative is intended to evaluate how autonomous logistic, electrification, connectivity and services could come together in an integrated solution for future logistics operations. Initial validation activities are expected to begin in Europe, providing a foundation to assess operational performance, customer value and scalability. Opportunities for future expansion into other international markets will be assessed as the project advances.
UQI Robotics, a joint venture established by UBTECH and Miracle Automation in 2020, contributes proven capabilities in autonomous systems, software and perception technologies that form the technological foundation of the solution, by leveraging Miracle's expertise in intelligent equipment, battery pack and recycling services. Since its establishment, the company has recorded more than €260 million in cumulative contract value and deployed more than 7,000 robots across 66 cities and regions worldwide.
Stellantis Pro One will adapt and scale the solution for Europe and other international markets, drawing on its commercial vehicle experience and close knowledge of professional users’ operational needs. The company will also develop the broader support framework required for customers, including services, connectivity, fleet integration and business solutions designed to unlock the full benefits of autonomous and fully electric logistics operations.
Created to respond to some of the most pressing challenges facing urban logistics, the Box-on-Wheels offers a new approach to distribution of goods, with the potential to improve operational efficiency, reduce complexity and support more sustainable delivery models for logistics operators and professional customers.
"Professional customers are increasingly looking for solutions that go beyond the vehicle itself” said Eric Laforge, Global Senior Vice President at Stellantis Pro One. “Through this collaboration with UQI Robotics, we are exploring how autonomous technologies, connectivity and services could contribute to the future of commercial mobility. While autonomous urban commercial vehicles are already becoming a reality in China, this collaboration allows us to evaluate how such technologies could be adapted to other markets and customer needs. Together, we aim to explore a truly disruptive approach to the light commercial vehicle sector, expanding the role of the vehicle from a transportation asset to an integrated logistics platform that can help operators improve efficiency, productivity and sustainability."
The development of Box-on-Wheels also brings Stellantis’ FaSTLAne 2030 strategy to life by combining customer-centered technology with a strategic partnership that complements the Company’s core strengths. Through Stellantis Pro One, the initiative explores how autonomous logistic, artificial intelligence, electrification, connectivity and services can be integrated into a scalable solution that addresses real-world logistics needs and creates value for professional customers.
Li Bei, Chairman and CEO of UQI Robotics, added: "We are pleased to collaborate with Stellantis Pro One. Its deep market insights and extensive customer ecosystem in commercial mobility worldwide bring valuable strengths to this collaboration. Together, we aim to explore the development of a new generation of autonomous logistics vehicles and delivery solutions that meet the needs of customers in Europe and other international markets and are designed for deployment at scale. This collaboration also marks an important milestone in UQI Robotics’ long-term vision to build an autonomous end-to-end logistics system with autonomous vehicles and humanoid robots."
Huang Bin, Chairman of Miracle, added: “Innovation happens when strong industrial capabilities and breakthrough technologies come together. As a key shareholder and strategic partner of UQI Robotics, Miracle supports the development of autonomous logistics solutions through its expertise in intelligent manufacturing, energy systems and sustainable technologies. We are excited to see UQI Robotics and Stellantis Pro One working together to explore new approaches to shape the future of smarter and more sustainable logistic.”
