VIGO, March 11, 2026 — An Opel Combo Electric is the 17-millionth vehicle produced at Stellantis Vigo since it began operations in 1958. Painted in Kiama Blue, the milestone vehicle is equipped with a 100 kW (136 hp) electric motor and will be marketed in Slovakia. This is the first model of the German brand manufactured at the Vigo plant.

To celebrate this milestone, a commemorative photograph was taken on 11 March with the vehicle, featuring workers from all workshops and services at the plant, representatives of the Works Council and members of the Stellantis Vigo Management Team.

The latest generation of the Opel Combo has been produced in Vigo since its launch in July 2018. Since then, a total of 370,000 units have come off the production lines, 92% of which were destined for international markets. The plant currently produces 150 units per day of this model.

In 2021, production of the 100% electric version began. This version represents 6% of the model’s total production and is manufactured on the same production line as the versions with internal combustion engines.

The Opel Combo is part of the family of light commercial vehicles produced at Stellantis Vigo, alongside the Citroën Berlingo and Berlingo Van, Peugeot Rifter and Partner, Fiat Qubo L and Fiat Professional Doblò.

The Opel Combo Electric is equipped with a 100-kW electric motor and a 50-kWh battery, offering a range up to 334 km WLTP. It reaches a maximum speed of up to 132 km/h and accelerates from 0–100 km/h in just 11.2 seconds.

Pioneers in Electric Vehicles

Stellantis Vigo has produced 38 different models over its 68-year history and has been a pioneer in electric vehicle production, including 12 different electric models. The Citroën C15 was the first electric vehicle produced at the plant, in 1995.

From the beginning, its history has been strongly linked to the production of light commercial vehicles. The plant began operations in 1958 with production of the Citroën AZU, derived from the 2CV. This was followed by iconic models such as the Citroën AK, Citroën AYU, Citroën C15 and the first generation of the Citroën Berlingo and Peugeot Partner. More than 8.5 million light commercial vehicles have been produced in Vigo to date.
