Poissy, 22 April 2025 - Launched in January 2025, New Citroën C4 has changed dimension. Gaining in maturity and character while building on its strengths such as comfort and space on board, the C4 has evolved profoundly while retaining its own identity. In this way, the brand has met the expectations of customers in this segment who are looking for simplicity, modernity and strength, with a model that is better placed on the road. Its launch has been a success, with the C4 retaining 2nd place in its segment in Europe at the beginning of 2025, a position it had already achieved in 2024, in the market for generalist C-segment compact saloons, all energies combined.

Citroën is today unveiling a new 2025 'Collection' edition, which will be added to the range on 6 May in France, to enhance its range and target a more dynamic, well-equipped version.  Based on the PLUS level, the heart of the new C4 range, it is aimed at customers looking for a vehicle with distinctive, elegant styling and equipment that guarantees the highest levels of comfort and connectivity while remaining affordable. On the outside, it plays on contrasts with black styling elements that accentuate its character and dynamism, while on the inside it plays the card of serenity and ease of everyday use. Available to order in Europe and Scandinavia in electrified Hybrid 145 bhp and Electric 156 bhp versions, with a range of 415 km, it will be available throughout 2025 and delivered from June.

C for Character

Or C for Contrast, the various black styling elements that give the car its distinctive look. On the outside, the new C4 Collection is distinguished by new 18" Amber Black alloy wheels from which reinforce its dynamic character. Their geometric design enhances both efficiency and style by incorporating matt black aerodynamic inserts.

To complement the new wheels, this edition also gets a two-tone Perla Nera black roof and tinted rear windows as standard. The choice of these elements reinforces the perception of a more dynamic coupé profile, creating a unity of colour and visual continuity from the arches, roof and spoiler to the gloss black strip linking the LED rear lights.

With an eye for detail, the C4 'Collection' is adorned with colourful accents in the form of 'Rouge André' colour clips, developed specifically for the occasion, which subtly enliven the grille of the front bumper, as well as the rear of the side protectors. Another signature feature of this edition is a 'Collection' badge combining the two strong colours, Black and André Red, which is positioned on the rear flap in symmetry with the 'C4' badge.

Available in Okenite White, Mercury Grey, Perla Nera Black and Eclipse Blue, each of these colours changes the way the vehicle is perceived, giving customers the chance to personalise their vehicle to suit their tastes and expectations.

The door panels have been specifically developed for the C4 'Collection', incorporating medallions and door armrests in grey TEP fabric. To match the Citroën Advanced Comfort "Urban Grey" seats perfectly, they also feature Curitiba White fabric inserts, which enliven the upper backrests of the seats: consistency and unity of tone are the order of the day in the cabin of this new edition.

C for Connectivity

Inside, the standard equipment has been designed to make every journey a moment of serenity.

The 7" high-definition instrument cluster behind the steering wheel has been designed for optimum clarity and intuitive information display. It is combined with a 10" HD touchscreen, featuring a latest-generation infotainment system including 3D connected navigation, which is fluid, fast and ergonomic.

This interface can be fully customised by customers thanks to its 'widget' system.  Widgets provide a quick way to access applications and content on the vehicle's touchscreen. The interface also features natural voice recognition, a digital assistant that can be activated by vehicle occupants with the 'Hello Citroën' command, and which understands what they say, answers their questions and executes their voice commands. Finally, there are no more cables lying around the cabin thanks to the wireless replication of your smartphone on the 10" HD tablet through its compatibility with Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. This system can be easily upgraded with 'over the air' updates.

In addition, C4 offers ChatGPT, developed by OpenAI, directly integrated into the infotainment system thanks to SoundHound's voice and audio recognition system, and available via the 'Connect Plus' Pack.  With ChatGPT, Citroën introduces a new generative artificial intelligence tool that makes voice recognition even more fluid and natural, and enhances on-board comfort through a digital assistant that promotes an intelligent and interactive living space to make everyday life easier.

C for Comfort

The Advanced Comfort seats® are distinguished by their visual comfort, provided by seats with a padded effect, a real invitation to travel. Seat comfort is enhanced by 15 mm thicker foam, providing a soft welcome from the moment you enter the vehicle. Dynamic comfort is enhanced by textured foam and a high-density layer at the heart of the seat, providing a more pleasant driving experience, even over long distances. Postural comfort is also enhanced, with improved support, as well as height and lumbar adjustment for the driver.

Combined with Citroën Advanced Comfort® suspension, these seats offer absolute comfort, transforming every journey into a gentle, soothing experience in a veritable cocoon. This technology uses Progressive Hydraulic Bumpers®, which absorb road imperfections, giving the car a "magic carpet" feel. It's a major advance on traditional suspension systems, offering a calmer driving experience and simplifying life on board.

Richly endowed, this limited edition has been designed down to the smallest detail, with special floor mats for the occasion. Highlighted by a strap in grey TEP fabric and enhanced by "André red" stitching, they feature a woven "Collection" logo. The dashboard, meanwhile, features a soft-touch material with a herringbone pattern.

Finally, at Citroën, comfort is not limited to the technologies developed for our seats and suspension. It is the result of 360° thinking that includes all our technologies and equipment to ensure ease of use and peace of mind. That's why this C4 Collection features Proximity Hands-Free Starting. You no longer need to physically use the key to access and start your vehicle. Just carry it with you!

A high-performance electrified offering tailored to your needs

The C4 Limited Edition Collection will be available with 2 engines that bring out the best in the C4 :

  • Hybrid 145 ë-DCS6: a simple, versatile powertrain that offers an electrified everyday experience, without the need to recharge.
  • Electric 156 bhp with extended range:  415 km of range for unrestricted everyday use and easy long-distance journeys thanks to the 100 kW rapid recharging system.

The 145 bhp hybrid: simplicity, versatility and low fuel consumption

48V technology means you can keep your budget under control, thanks to significant reductions in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. In mixed traffic, fuel consumption is reduced by around 20%. Hybrid technology is particularly beneficial for urban driving, where it is estimated that up to 50% of driving can be done in electric mode, reducing the car's carbon footprint and running costs.

With no need to recharge at a charging point, this technology is particularly easy to use and a source of peace of mind. Driving comfort is enhanced by the smooth, automatic management of the electric and internal combustion engines, which adapt to driving conditions without the need for driver intervention. This ease of use, combined with the battery's ability to recharge during deceleration, makes these vehicles particularly well-suited to everyday city life.

On the 145 bhp Hybrid version, the 1199 cc three-cylinder engine delivers 136 bhp (100 kW) at 5500 rpm and 230 Nm of torque at 1750 rpm. Its design includes a variable geometry turbocharger and timing chain, enhancing its performance and reliability. At the same time, the permanent magnet synchronous electric motor delivers 21 kW (28 bhp) and 55 Nm of torque, managing energy requirements at low torque demand and low speed. It also helps start the combustion engine and recharges the battery during braking, minimising wear and tear on the brakes. The system is complemented by a 48V belt starter for rapid starting of the internal combustion engine, an electrified ë-DCS6 six-speed dual-clutch gearbox, and a 48V, 432 Wh Lithium-Ion battery placed under the front left seat, preserving interior space and boot volume.

This new-generation 1.2-litre supercharged petrol engine has been developed for hybridisation and incorporates 40% new components.

A 156 bhp electric motor to offer the best of C4

In 2020, Citroën was one of the first to offer a 100% electric range on a C-segment saloon, with two strong choices that are still part of Citroën's philosophy today. The first is multi-energy silhouettes that provide a simple, easy-to-understand range for customers, who can then choose the energy that best suits their needs. Secondly, the choice of small batteries to limit weight and cost, and reduce consumption and the budget. Equipped with a 100 kW rapid charge, our models are perfectly suited to daily journeys, while also being compatible with long-distance journeys.

The promise of ë-Confort is to be able to drive in electric mode, with zero CO² emissions while driving the vehicle, zero noise and zero odour, fluidity with zero vibration, zero jerks, zero gear changes, ease of use with immediately available torque for stimulating driving sensations, and remotely programmable services for everyday peace of mind.

That's why C4 is offering its limited-edition Collection with the 415 km extended range version, particularly suited to extra-urban journeys. This version is equipped with a 54 kWh battery and a 115 kW engine, giving it a greater capacity to meet the needs of users who cover longer distances on a regular basis.

Finally, the C4 'Collection' introduces a function that allows the charge to be limited to 80%, directly via the infotainment system. This new function ensures the most efficient recharging time and guarantees the battery's long-term longevity.

From its launch, C4 Collection also features an intelligent planner directly integrated into the car's on-board infotainment system, linked to 3D Connected Navigation. This is a real personal assistant, connected to the car and adapting in real time to optimise the journey. Connected in real time to vehicle data, traffic conditions and the status of recharging points, it promises optimum control over every journey. It adapts to changing conditions and suggests alternative routes if necessary, ensuring that drivers reach their destination with maximum efficiency. Not only does the app ensure that journey times are optimised, it also provides reliable, up-to-date information on the charging network, enabling drivers to plan their charging stops with confidence. It therefore offers services similar to those provided by the e-ROUTES smartphone application, which is also still available.

V2L, or Vehicle-to-Load, technology enables an electric vehicle to supply electricity to external devices, transforming the car into a mobile and flexible power source. Citroën will incorporate this function into the new ë-C4 limited edition Collection from 1st July 2025. To use V2L, simply connect the desired device to the vehicle's dedicated socket. This adapter will be available as an accessory. The V2L is particularly useful in situations where access to a power source is limited, such as when travelling or taking part in outdoor activities. Imagine being able to plug in your laptop, charge your electric bike, or even power a small fridge directly from your car during a picnic or a power cut at home
