The Citroën Terra America Adventure set off on 26 May from the Citroën Conservatoire in Aulnay-sous-Bois near Paris. At the wheel of a 1956 Traction Avant 11B, two adventurous women are heading for the American continent, where they will make the journey from Alaska to Ushuaia via the Pan-American Highway, the longest road in the world. In the spirit of the Citroën cruises, this unprecedented journey through time and the history of the Americas aims to raise awareness of the plight of the 21 indigenous peoples encountered during the 40,000 km journey, which will cross 14 countries in three stages from July 2021 to January 2023. As official partner and title sponsor, Citroën is supporting the expedition and providing the expertise of “L'Aventure Citroën”, the organisation responsible for its heritage, for the preparation of the car and technical support during the adventure. Ami is now boldly taking over the streets of the capital through the operation "Ami ?? Paris". Designed for the city and its inhabitants, Ami – 100% ëlectric is characterized by a strong, colourful personality. Citroën relied on this personality to put forward 20 Ami with a unique design inspired by Parisians as part of the launch of Ami in carsharing in Paris via the Free2Move fleet.

To tie in with the launch of Ami – 100% ëlectric, Citroën teamed up with Ultimate Ears to come up with a new way of enjoying sound in this electric object aimed at making urban mobility accessible for everyone. The two brands worked together to design the special edition Ultimate Ears Boom 3 Ami speaker, to be unveiled onboard the all-electric Ami at the French media test drive held in Paris this week. The Ultimate Ears Boom 3 speaker is practical, super-portable and customisable, making it the obvious audio choice for Ami – 100% ëlectric.

On the occasion of the Retromobile 2020 Show which is taking place from 5 to 9 February in Paris, Citroën is marking the 50th birthday of GS and celebrating the audacity of the first ever automobile crossing of the Sahara. For the birthday of GS, which was launched in 1970, the Brand is unveiling Citroën GS by Tristan Auer for Les Bains, a car entrusted to the interior designer to transform it. In addition, the spirit of adventure is in the air with the display of the replica of the Golden Scarab, the first ever vehicle to have crossed the Sahara in 1922. To echo this incredible exploit, a very special announcement will be made during the press conference on 4 February at 21:00 on the Citroën stand.

For its 100th anniversary, Citroën is giving free rein to seven leading international photographers who they have brought together in one exhibition of 100 photos: THE WORLD INSPIRED BY CITROËN. The exhibition will open its doors at the Paris Mint (La Monnaie de Paris) from 9 July to 18 August. Amsterdam, Paris, Tunis, Milan, New York, Buenos Aires, Tokyo: seven global cities where the seven artists tell a story about the city, their city, with Citroëns as the main characters. For its 100th anniversary, Citroën is reaching out to younger people, with a learner driver programme from the age of 10: YOUNG DRIVER by Citroën. A first in France, this exclusive partnership takes up the successful formula of YOUNG DRIVER in the United Kingdom, with 700,000 lessons already given. Budding drivers will take the wheel of a driving school Citroën C3 on a safe circuit next to a certified instructor. An original initiative in the interests of a relaxed learning approach to road safety, because pupils who have taken lessons from the youngest age have on average 60% less accidents when they finally take to the road! The 2019 Design Strategies Grand Prix has just rewarded the redevelopment of the Javel-André Citroën metro station in Paris, with the bronze medal in the category of Environment – Signage – Museography. This cultural redevelopment was launched in June 2018 by the RATP and Citroën, which has historical roots in this area of the 15th district (arrondissement) of Paris. It pays homage to the Brand’s history, from the station’s entrance to the platforms, with friezes on the walls and touch screens providing access to the Citroën Origins virtual museum.

Following the success of the Seetroën anti-travel sickness glasses, Citroën is launching a second model, S19, at the VivaTech show, held from 16 to 18 May. Seetroën S19 glasses feature the same principle behind the success of the first model launched last July, recreating the horizon line by means of a coloured liquid to resolve the conflict of the senses. The two models are now available for purchase at the Brand’s lifestyle boutique, priced at €99 ( Watch a video on the glasses:

The first vehicle in history to have crossed the Sahara in 1922, Citroën’s half-track named the ‘Golden Scarab’ (Scarabée d’Or) has been the subject of a rebuilding project which began in 2016. The replica has just been unveiled, on 13 May at the Museum of Arts and Crafts in Paris, in the presence of the partners of the educational project. The half-track faithfully reproduced by engineering students and pupils will take part in Citroën’s centenary celebrations from June, before participating in the ‘Gathering of the Century’ in July. At VivaTech, held in Paris from 16 to 18 May 2019, Citroën will be exhibiting two concept cars expressing its vision of urban mobility and “ultra comfort”. - Even though it never takes a break itself, travel sickness tags along with a large number of passengers. A few days from the next school holidays, it’s worth a reminder that last July, Citroën launched SEETROËN, the first glasses which eliminate travel sickness. - And the success is global: over 20 million views on social networks, already 15,000 sales, and 3 European awards to reward the motor vehicle manufacturer’s boldness in tackling this issue with a simple and shareable solution. -See a video of SEETROËN:

- On the occasion of the International Automobile Festival, Citroën was doubly rewarded during the opening ceremony of the 34th hosting of this major automotive design gathering, with the Award for Art and the Award for most beautiful advertising film of the year. - From today, the audience can discover the fruit of the collaboration which has been rewarded: the E -MEHARI Art Car designed by Jean-Charles de Castelbajac produced to celebrate Méhari’s 50th birthday. This unique model is on display from 31 January to 3 February at Les Invalides for the whole duration of the Festival.
