In terms of PC+LCV registrations in Europe (30 countries) in the 1st quarter of 2019: From the 12 largest automotive brands in the European market, Citroën is the brand which has grown the most since the start of the year. For PC, Citroën is even the only brand in the Top 12 to have grown! As a result: Citroën has gained 0.3 point in PC+LCV market share compared to the 1st quarter of 2018. This performance has allowed Citroën to gain one place in the ranking of the brands (7th vs. 8th in Q1 2018).

Launched in November 2016, New C3 has already reached the 400,000 sales mark, including 160,000 since the beginning of the year, which makes it Citroën’s best-seller. In Europe, the number of orders experienced a 12% growth in the 1st semester, which allows New C3 to integrate the TOP 5 of its market segment.

Just ten months after its launch, New Citroën C3 Aircross Compact SUV has notched up 100,000 sales, with almost 70,000 since the start of 2018. In its first six months on the market, New C3 has already sold 100,000 units, making it Citroën’s top-selling model. Since January 2017, the C3 European orderbook shows a surge of 70%. Further proof of the New C3 appeal comes with a new-customer winover rate of 60%, more than 25 prizes awarded by the international press, the high proportion of upper-end versions in the sales mix, and an average customer appreciation score of 4.7 out of 5 stars on the Citroën Advisor website.

At the end of the first nine months of the year, CITROËN had registered more than 194,000 vehicles, including about 152,000 passenger cars (PCs) and more than 42,000 light commercial vehicles (LCVs):- CITROËN's third-quarter market share (PC+LCV) was up 0.7 points from the 2nd quarter, with gains of 0.6 points for PCs and 0.8 points for LCVs. - The brand showed continued improvement in September, with the appeal of its latest products lifting PC registrations 2%, compared with the year-earlier period.

With over 75,000 PC +LCV registrations in the first three months of the year, CITROËN growth outstripped the market’s, up 6.2% compared with 2.1%, and increased its market share 0.5 points to 14%. The performance was driven by the Brand’s momentum in PCs, in particular the success of the CITROËN C3 and New C4 Picasso, the leading compact MPV. CITROËN also scored success in LCVs, consolidating its number-two ranking.

In 2012 Citroën confirmed its all-round success with the launch of three new models (C4 Aircross, C4 L and C-Elysée), six restyles (C1, C3 Picasso, C5, C8, Berlingo and Jumpy), new services, and its eighth World Rally Championship manufacturer’s title. The year also saw further expansion outside Europe, with a sales offensive in China, the Brand’s second-biggest market. Simultaneously, Citroën consolidated its move up-market, with both the DS line, which has sold in 300,000 units, and the C range, richer and more contemporary than ever.

On a passenger car and LCV market that shrunk by 13.3% in 2012, Citroën registered more than330,000 vehicles, cornering a market share of 14.5%. The brand's results were driven bythe success of the C range and the DS line passenger cars, and by its LCVs, which again earned Citroën second spot in the marketplace. Citroën plans to keep up its momentum in 2013 with the launch of some exciting new models.
