SEVEN CITROËN C3RALLY2 TO RACE RALLY MONTE-CARLO 2021

This 89th edition will see the reigning duo from last years round Eric Camilli – François-Xavier Buresi battle to hold his WRC2 title with team Sports & You.

Yohan Rossel, French FFSA Rally team and #C3Rally2Family member will race three rounds following Monte-Carlo with the Santéloc team. Joining him at the inaugural WRC race is teammate Sean Johnston, and co-driver Alexander Kihurani, who participated in a number of WRC races last year. 23-year old Nicolas Ciamin of DG Sport will participate in his third Rally Monte-Carlo before and aims for the WRC3 season and the Belgium Rally Championship.

The reigning French rally champion, Yoann Bonato with his longstanding co-driver Bejamin Boulloud will also start their competitive season off with an appearance at Rally Monte-Carlo before tackling the 10 rounds of the French Rally Championship within the CHL Sport Auto team.

After a nine-year hiatus from Rally Monte-Carlo, Italien driver Giacomo Ogliari with co-driver Lorenzo Granai, will make his come back. Where Belgian, Davy Vanneste – Kris D’alleine have taken the leap, with plans to make his first ever WRC debut at the Monaco classic and compete on his home soil leading up to the WRC leg in Ypres in August.

A test session organised by Citroën Racing in early January saw Y.Bonato, N.Ciamin and E.Camili take the new C3Rally2 car out for her first drive in the Hautes-Alpes region. The crews took advantage of the typical road conditions in preparation for the 2021 inauguration as well as to develop a versatile setup for Citroën Racing customers who will take part in rallies all over the globe this season.

Eric Camilli – Sports & You – WRC2:

“I am excited to start my 2021 program off with the Rallye Monte-Carlo and the C3Rally2. I have my eye on the prize and am proud to be sporting the Citroën Racing colours. With their support and that of Olympique de Marseille head coach Andre Villas-Boas, we will be able to use this prestigious race for a good cause and raise awareness for the Ace Africa foundation. Following the test round at the beginning of the month we were able to refine the setup of the car in preparation for the varying road conditions that are a staple to these rally stages. I look forward to tackling them as well as two additional WRC races this year with Citroën Racing and Sports & You. “

Nicolas Ciamin – DG Sport – WRC3:

“I am very happy to have the support of Citroën Racing again this year, which means despite the few races I was able to participate in last year, I left my mark. Being able to take part in testing allowed me to work in the best conditions and have additional driving time. For the moment, I have nothing set in stone after the Monte-Carlo but I am working on a complete WRC3 program as well as the Belgian Rally Championship.”
