Spa-Francorchamps is still the star of the 2022 Formula 4 season. After the inaugural round of the ADAC Formel 4 and the third round of the Italian F4 Championship it is the F4 Spanish Championship that will compete on the legendary Belgian circuit with 30 Tatuus F4-T021 powered by the 180hp Abarth T-Jet 1.4 engine. For the third time this season, the young drivers of the F4 “High School” will face the University of Motorsport. On the 7,004 meters of the Belgian track Nikola Tsolov (BUL - Campos Racing) will try to extend the streak of consecutive victories in the Iberian series, in fact the Bulgarian driver is unbeaten since 5 races with the triumphs in Jerez and Valencia. Threatening the talented Campos Racing driver is Tymoteusz Kucharczyk (POL - MP Motorsport), who is chasing at a distance of 53 points. More distant is the first winner of the season Hugh Barter (AUS - Campos Racing) and Georg Kelstrup (DNK - Campos Racing), among the most consistent in the first three rounds of the championship.
There are several debuts in the Spanish series on the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, from the Brazilian Aurelia Nobels (BRA - Formula de Campeones), to her compatriot Nelson Neto (BRA - Cram Motorsport), already involved in the Italian series, in addition to the French team Sainteloc Racing which, on the Belgian circuit, will bring two single-seaters entrusted to Théophile Naël (FRA - Sainteloc Racing) and the Swiss Ethan Ischer (CHE - Sainteloc Racing) as Neto protagonist in the Italian F4 Championship.
The programme of the fourth round of the F4 Spanish Championship includes no less than four sessions on Friday 8 July with free practice scheduled at 9.05 AM and 11.35 AM, qualifying at 2.05 PM and the first race at 5.40 PM. Saturday the other two races of the weekend at 10.10 AM and 1.45 PM. All races of the Spanish series will be broadcast live on the YouTube and Twitch channels.
