Bearman extends his lead in the Italian F.4 Championship Powered by Abarth at Imola. At the Rally di Roma Capitale, Dariusz Poloński comes third in the R-GT cup after his third victory of the season in the Abarth Rally Cup

Eight  consecutive victories for the Briton driving for Van Amersfoort Racing, who gained a solid lead in the running for the Italian F.4 Championship Powered by Abarth title.

  • At Imola, great results for Nikita Bedrin, three times on the overall podium and new leader in the rookie standings.
  • At the Rally di Roma Capitale, Poloński & Sitek took the ERC2 and R-GT Cup podiums, also taking their third victory in the Abarth Rally Cup.

 

Oliver Bearman and Dariusz Poloński are the outright stars of the Abarth weekend. At the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola, the British Van Amersfoort Racing driver gained a solid lead in the 2021 season of the Italian F.4 Championship Powered by Abarth Certified by FIA, by winning all 3 races in round 4 of the season and by winning his 8th race in a row this season. On the other hand, in round 3 of the FIA European Rally Championship at the Rally di Roma Capitale, the Polish Rallytechnology driver scored his third victory in the Abarth Rally Cup and put the Abarth 124 rally on the third step of the podium of the FIA R-GT Cup, as well as on the ERC2 podium.

 

At Imola, Oliver Bearman (GBR – Van Amersfoort Racing) was once again dominant in the Italian F.4 Championship Powered by Abarth Certified by FIA. The British driver completed his second double running and has now achieved 8 successes in a row. Never before has anyone seen such a winning streak on the top step of the podium in the Italian series. In race 1, the podium belonged entirely to Van Amersfoort Racing, with Nikita Bedrin (RUS – Van Amersfoort Racing) and Joshua Dufek (CHE – Van Amersfoort Racing), who painted its three steps in orange and black. In races 2 and 3, Nikita Bedrin and Leonardo Fornaroli (ITA - Iron Lynx) shared second and third with the Italian ahead of the Russian in race 2 and with their positions in reverse in race 3. Thanks to his triple success in the rookie category, Nikita Bedrin is the new leader in the rookie championship. The Italian series powered by Abarth will be back on track from September 10th to 12th on the Austrian Red Bull Ring track.  

 

A third success for Dariusz Poloński and Łukas Sitek in the Abarth Rally Cup 2021. At the Rally di Roma Capitale, the Polish Rallytechnology crew had a solid race, enabling their driver to score a podium finish in both the R-GT Cup and ERC2 standings. These two third places underlined the competitiveness of the Abarth 124 rally on tarmac, which was also confirmed by the Polish driver at the end of the last special stage: “We are satisfied after a long and difficult rally, but one perfect for this car”. On the roads of the Italian capital, good performance too from Roberto Gobbin and his co-driver Alessandro Cervi, who immediately found themselves at their ease in the car in the series reserved for the Abarth 124 rally. The next round in the Abarth Rally Cup is scheduled for August 27th to 29th at the Barum Czech Rally Zlín.
