At the Circuit Barcelona-Catalunya the curtain falls on the F4 Spanish Championship with a record starting grid of 35 Tatuus F4 T421 powered by the 180 hp Abarth T-Jet 1.4 engine. With Nikola Tsolov (BUL - Campos Racing) already winner of the 2022 overall and rookie titles, conquered on the Navarra circuit, and with Campos Racing triumphant in the team classification, the three races in Barcelona will be a triumphant catwalk for the Bulgarian driver who, however, will want to reaffirm his supremacy by going beyond the 10 victories already conquered so far. Fernando Alonso's protégé was unable to score a win in the race at Navarra, where his team-mate Hugh Barter (AUS - Campos Racing), on the other hand, scored a hat-trick. There were several new entries for the final round of the season, with some of the drivers who have competed in the various European series over the course of the season. From Victoria Blokhina (ITA - Drivex School) protagonist in the Italian series, to Daniel Guinchard (GBR - JHR Developements), second among the rookies in the F4 British Championship, to Jonas Ried (GER - Munlau Motorsport) among the most active drivers in 2022 having raced in both the Italian F4 Championship and ADAC Formel 4. The Barcelona round will be the last European round of 2022 for Formula 4 in a season that has seen Abarth engines alongside drivers in the Italian, German, British and Spanish series as well as the UAE and Brazil, which will end in December.

The drivers of the F4 Spanish Championship will take to the track on Saturday 12 November for two free practice sessions, the first qualifying round deciding the starting grid for race 1, scheduled at 3.55 pm. On Sunday at 9.00am the second qualifying session, followed at 11.15am by the sprint race and at 1.35pm by the last race of the season.
