Alex Dunne attempts a final assault on the British F4 Championship title

• The Irishman of Hitech GP leads the standings with a 66 points advantage over Oliver Gray.
• Already nine wins in the season for Dunne, who is aiming for a British series record.  
• Big battle in the rookie standings with Ugochukwu and Guinchard separated by just 20 points.

For the second time this season, the Thruxton circuit will host the British F4 Championship certified by FIA. The British series will be back on track for the eighth round of the season with 18 Tatuus single-seaters powered by the 180hp Abarth T-Jet 1.4 engine and plenty of spectacle on a track that lends itself well to overtaking and duels. Alex Dunne (IRL - Hitech GP) still leads the standings, already with nine wins in the season and two second and two third places. In his pursuit Oliver Gray (GBR - Carlin) has, on the other hand, achieved only one success, but has been among the most consistent by climbing 12 more times onto the podium with five second places and seven third places. The nine races still to be contested at the Thruxton, Silverstone and Brands Hatch circuits will be crucial for winning the 2022 title. Third in the standings and still in the running for the title is Ugo Ugochukwu (USA - Carlin), who also commands the rookie classification with a 20-point lead over Daniel Guinchard (GBR - Phinsys by Argenti). During the 2022 season there have been no fewer than nine winners of at least one race in the British series and the Thruxton circuit lends itself well to surprises.

The eighth round of the British F4 Championship Certified by FIA will kick off on Friday with free practice on the Hampshire circuit while on Saturday at 9.00am qualifying will start, preceding race 1 at 1.35pm and race 2 at 5.15pm. Sunday will see the green light for the 24th race of the season at 3.15pm.
