Sunday April 24 in Jerez de la Frontera the brand with the Scorpion logo greeted the exciting first place of Valentino Rossi together with the second place gained by Jorge Lorenzo. The double win of the two Yamaha riders is a very successful event at worldwide level and it is a source of pride for Abarth which is Official Sponsor and Official Car Supplier of the team engaged in the FIM MotoGP World Championship with Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo as official riders.

 

The Movistar Yamaha MotoGP team dominated the scenes in Spain, for the "Grand Prix of Spain", as Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo set off from first and second place of the grid. They didn't relinquish the first two places once to any other riders and gave Yamaha a perfect one-two podium. Rossi remains in third position with his first place podium finish, now on 58 points and seven points behind Lorenzo, who is in second place with a total of 65 points, 17 behind the leader in the championship standings.
The team stayed on track yesterday April 24 at the Circuito de Jerez for a one-day test.

The new Abarth 124 spider car will be available in dealerships starting from September, and the car can also be purchased with the FCA Bank solution by paying 300-Euro monthly instalments.

 

It is a vehicle designed for thrills and performance and has all the qualities needed to satisfy even the most hard-to-please drivers. Among its technical features, one that stands out is the standard mechanical self-locking differential, to ensure drive and traction in even the most critical situations and provide peerless dynamic handling. Additionally, fine mechanics and special materials have lowered the weight to just 1,060 kg, for a weight-to-power ratio of 6.2 kg/HP.

 

As Official Sponsor and Official Car Supplier of the Movistar Yamaha MotoGP team, the Abarth brand created, together with Yamaha, a vehicle to celebrate their partnership. It is the Abarth 595 Yamaha Factory Racing, a special series designed in the name of the craftsmanship and technical upgrade that characterise the Scorpion. An unmistakeable sound, a more powerful engine, and a sporty trim are just some of the technical features of this special series, which stands out for its stylish details-such as the red brake callipers and the Yamaha Factory Racing badge.
