TURIN, 30 SEPTEMBER 2026 – Abarth and Breil bring one of rallying’s great legends from the special stage to the wrist with the new Breil Fiat 131 Abarth Rally Chronograph | Limited Edition. Produced in just 400 individually numbered pieces, the new timepiece celebrates 50 years since the Fiat 131 Abarth Rally made its debut at the 1976 Geneva Motor Show, translating its unmistakable racing character into a bold, technical chronograph.
Born from an everyday Italian saloon and transformed by Abarth into a formidable Group 4 machine, the Fiat 131 Abarth Rally became one of the great protagonists of rallying’s golden age. It claimed three World Manufacturers’ Championship titles in 1977, 1978 and 1980 and 18 overall victories in World Championship rallies. It also took Walter Röhrl to the World Drivers’ title in 1980 and helped Markku Alén secure the FIA Cup for Drivers in 1978. Fifty years on, its ingenuity and unmistakable Italian racing character remain as compelling as ever.
The chronograph turns those racing codes into design. The 43 mm brushed-steel case is paired with a knurled steel bezel and a black anodised aluminium insert featuring a tachymeter scale, recalling the instrumentation of competition cars. The black, two-level dial features Abarth’s chequered pattern, high-contrast chronograph counters and luminous hands and indexes. A red Scorpion between 3 and 4 o’clock provides an unmistakable reference to the brand, while the screw-down case back carries the logos and the individual limited-edition number.
Powered by a precise VK67 quartz movement, the chronograph is completed by mineral glass, a brushed-steel bracelet with deployment clasp and safety system, and water resistance to 10 atmospheres. Priced at €399, the Breil Fiat 131 Abarth Rally Chronograph brings the spirit of a rally icon to the wrist, combining Abarth racing heritage with Breil’s bold Italian design.
