The Abarth 595 has won the "Autonis" contest organised by "Auto, Motor und Sport" in the "Minicar" category garnering 59% of the votes of the readers of the prestigious German magazine. After being named "Best Car" in January, for the fourth time in a row, the Italian "little supercar" strikes again in an "Auto, Motor und Sport" contest.

"We are very proud that our Abarth 595 has won this prestigious award", said Luca Napolitano, Head of Fiat and Abarth brand EMEA. "It confirms that our 'little supercar', which is an undisputed emblem of characteristically Italian creativity, sportiness and attention to detail, is highly appreciated by readers of the German Auto, Motor und Sport magazine. The enthusiasm for Abarth goes beyond national borders, as demonstrated by the big number of clubs and Abarth fans from all over Europe, who are expected to meet during forthcoming Abarth Days 2019. The largest international gathering of Abarth will be held in Milan on the weekend of October 5th and 6th and will bring together thousands of fans to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Scorpion".

The 595 range is the evolution of the icon of the brand expressed in various power levels, from 145 to 180 HP and Euro 6D-Temp engines, to respond to the needs of each customer. The Competizione and Turismo versions, in the hatchback and convertible configurations, of the range express the two souls of Abarth - performance the first and style the second. The new Abarth 595 Pista special edition, available with manual or automatic transmission is focused on performance as ever and dedicated to the younger fans of the Scorpion. Characterised by a new matte grey livery, striking green accents and new interiors, the 595 Pista is even more powerful (fitting a new Garrett turbine, the new engine delivers 165 HP) and is equipped with the iconic Record Monza Active exhaust and with Koni rear suspension with FSD technology. The 595 entry level, with its 145 HP, and the exclusive Abarth 595 esseesse, inspired by the tuning kit of the Seventies, complete the line-up.

One hundred models, either new or renewed, divided into ten categories were short-listed for the "Autonis" contest. For each model, the result within its category is an indicator of the appreciation level of the panel of readers.
