Stellantis übernimmt First Investors Financial Services Group: Wichtiger Schritt zum Aufbau eines firmeneigenen Finanzdienstleistungsgeschäfts auf dem US-Markt

Stellantis N.V. hat den Abschluss einer endgültigen Vereinbarung zur Übernahme der F1 Holdings Corp bekanntgegeben, der Muttergesellschaft der First Investors Financial Services Group („First Investors” oder das „Unternehmen”), einer führenden unabhängigen Autofinanzierungsgesellschaft in den Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika, im Rahmen einer reinen Bargeldtransaktion für ca. 285 Millionen US-Dollar, vorbehaltlich von Anpassungen der Schlussbilanz und bestimmter ausstehender Optionen (die „Transaktion”), von einer Investorengruppe unter der Leitung von Gallatin Point Capital LLC („Gallatin Point”) und einschließlich verbundener Unternehmen von Jacobs Asset Management, LLC.

Das strategische Ziel von Stellantis ist es, eine firmeneigene Finanzierungsgesellschaft in den USA zu gründen, um den Vertrieb zu unterstützen, die starke Marktposition voll auszunutzen und gleichzeitig langfristigen Wert für die Aktionäre von Stellantis zu schaffen. Die Übernahme von First Investors ermöglicht es Stellantis, eine Plattform zu schaffen, von der aus eine firmeneigene Full-Service-Finanzierungsorganisation aufgebaut werden kann. Stellantis ist der einzige große OEM, der derzeit in den USA ohne eine eigene Autofinanzierungsgesellschaft tätig ist. Die Transaktion stellt eine bedeutsame strategische Chance dar, die ein erhebliches Potenzial für die Steigerung der Erträge und die Verbesserung der Kundenbindung bietet. Eine konzerneigene US-Finanzgesellschaft wird den Kunden, die die preisgekrönten Fahrzeuge der Marken Jeep®, Ram, Dodge, Chrysler, Fiat und Alfa Romeo kaufen, ein besseres Kauferlebnis und mehr Konnektivität im digitalen Zeitalter bieten und zukünftige Möglichkeiten zur Umsetzung neuer Geschäftsstrategien eröffnen.
