New Uno reinforces Fiat's leadership in May
With 54,934 vehicles licensed in May, Fiat led the automobile and light commercial vehicle market in the month, and increased its leadership in the sales accrued in the year, with 281,295 units, corresponding to 22.5% of the market, with over 19,800 vehicles ahead of the second-placed. From January to May, Fiat has led both the automobile market, with 228,014 licensed cars, and the light commercial vehicle segment, with 53,281 units sold, according to data from the National Automobile Vehicle Register (Renavam), disseminated today by Anfavea [National Association of Automobile Vehicle Manufacturers].
The arrival of the New Uno (Fiat’s latest release) in the market contributed toward this result. In its first month of commercialization, the Uno was Fiat's most sold model, with 14,089 units – considering that the new car only arrived in the dealer network as of the second week of the month. In the accumulation for the year, Uno has already become the model with the highest number of sales in Fiat, with 63,590 units. While in the light commercial vehicle segment, the Fiat Strada pickup remains the outright leader, with 42,389 units licensed in the first five months of the year.
