Stellantis Malaysia and Public Bank have joined forces to champion sustainable mobility through the ‘Paint the Town Green with EV Financing’ event. This strategic collaboration highlights Public Bank’s exclusive ‘Paint the Town Green’ campaign, offering attractive financing solutions to accelerate EV adoption in Malaysia.
The event highlights the growing momentum of EV adoption in Malaysia, with Public Bank’s new EV vehicle market share reaching 29.1% in 2024 and climbing further to 33.5% in February 2025. In line with its commitment to sustainable finance, Public Bank has set an ambitious target of RM100 billion by 2030 to support green initiatives, including the transition to electric mobility.
To encourage more Malaysians to make the switch to EVs, Public Bank’s ‘Paint the Town Green’ campaign in collaboration with Stellantis Malaysia offers a range of compelling benefits, including Preferential Interest Rates as low as 0.38% p.a. for financing of the new electric Leapmotor C10.
The Leapmotor C10, a vehicle engineered to redefine electric mobility. A winner of the International CMF Design and French Design Awards, the C10 pairs sleek aesthetics with powerful performance. It features a 69.9kWh Lithium-Iron Phosphate battery and 214hp electric motor, delivering a 424 KM range (WLTP) for effortless drives. Inside, the spacious cabin is complemented by a 2.1m² panoramic glass roof with a retractable sunshade, while a 5-star Euro NCAP safety rating and Leap Pilot Level 2 ADAS offer enhanced confidence on the road.

Stellantis and Leapmotor today marked a pivotal milestone in the region’s electrification journey with the local assembly of Leapmotor vehicles in Malaysia, signalling the start of Leapmotor’s local assembly plans in Malaysia.
The initiative, which will be based at Stellantis’ existing plant in Gurun, Kedah, begins with an initial investment of EUR 5 million (RM24 million). This strategic move places Malaysia at the forefront of EV industrialization in the ASEAN region and reflects Stellantis' commitment to accelerating sustainable mobility through its partnership with Leapmotor, a fast-growing New Energy Vehicle (NEV) leader from China.
This initiative reinforces Stellantis’ commitment to regional growth, with the India & Asia Pacific (IAP) region identified as one of the company’s key growth drivers under its Dare Forward 2030 strategy. By introducing Leapmotor’s advanced and accessible EVs, Stellantis is strengthening its electrification roadmap while bringing high-tech mobility solutions to Southeast Asia.
Ashwani Muppasani, Chief Operating Officer of Stellantis India & Asia Pacific, said, “This milestone marks more than the start of local assembly—it marks the next chapter in Stellantis’ electrification journey across ASEAN. By combining Leapmotor’s EV innovation and success with Stellantis’ regional expertise and global scale, we are laying the foundation for an accessible, sustainable future of mobility right here in Malaysia and across Southeast Asia.”
The local assembly of Leapmotor vehicles will be anchored at Stellantis’ Gurun, Kedah. Chosen for its strategic location and established automotive infrastructure, Gurun’s status as a regional automotive hub enables efficient production scale-up and seamless distribution to neighbouring ASEAN markets, in line with Stellantis’ ‘Built in ASEAN for ASEAN’ roadmap.
Isaac Yeo, Managing Director of Stellantis ASEAN, said, “The Gurun plant has become a cornerstone of Stellantis’ manufacturing presence in the region. We have proactively enhanced its capabilities to support EV assembly, and we are proud that Leapmotor will be the first locally assembled electric vehicle to emerge from this plant. Production of the locally assembled Leapmotor models, starting with the Leapmotor C10, is set to commence by the end of 2025. This initiative is also aligned with Malaysia’s National Automotive Policy (NAP 2030) and supports the country’s broader ambitions under its ASEAN Chairmanship in 2025. Beyond automotive manufacturing, the collaboration is expected to stimulate industrial growth, support technology transfer, and further strengthen bilateral cooperation between Malaysia and China.

The JUNIOR exemplifies the perfect balance between functional beauty and heritage, featuring a highly emotional design language with stylistic elements rooted in the brand's legacy, such as the iconic Coda Tronca (meaning truncated tail in English), a striking example of style and functionality. The design, characterized by limited overhangs and muscular wheel arches, pays homage to the iconic Giulia TZ.
The Junior boasts a strong identity, comprising a brand-new look that creates rich and harmonious reflections through distinct volumetric contrasts. A striking identity is established through a bold front design, complete with ‘3+3’ adaptive Full LED Matrix headlights. Together with the legendary shield emblem, a distinctive new signature scudetto that reinterprets the Alfa Romeo logo in a modern context.
The scudetto legendary shield comes in the Leggenda and Progresso variants. The Junior enters the electric vehicle market like a true Alfa Romeo with best-in-class driving dynamics, built on a lightweight structure and optimal mass distribution. Developed by the same team that created the Giulia GTA at the Balocco testing center, it achieves exceptional road holding through specific technical solutions, including the most direct steering in the segment (15.8), calibrated for precision. The Alfa D.N.A. system provides driving modes: Dynamic mode, enabled by specific steering and accelerator calibration, offers the utmost performance and driving pleasure. POWERTRAIN
Equipped with a new-generation powertrain, JUNIOR combines a Hybrid Synchronous Motor and a latest-generation 54-kWh battery offers high energy density and a very good ratio of rated to usable energy, to deliver 156 hp, offers uncompromising driving pleasure with segment-leading dynamics. This setup guarantees engaging performance with a range of 410 km in the WLTP cycle and 590 km in urban driving. Fast charging at 100-kW DC stations allows for quick recharges from 20% to 80% in under 30 minutes.
Orders for the all-new fully electric Alfa Romeo Junior are now open in Hong Kong, with the “Launch Edition” starting at HK$359,800 and the “Sport Edition” at HK$429,800. Both include a complimentary pre-sale upgrade on the Technology Pack, valued at HK$40,000, which features LED matrix headlights, a frameless auto-dimming interior mirror, a wireless smartphone charger, parking sensors, navigation, a hands-free power liftgate, keyless entry, adaptive cruise control with lane centering, a rearview camera, and traffic sign recognition.
The All-New Fully Electric ALFA ROMEO JUNIOR comes with a 3-year or 100,000 km warranty on the vehicle and an 8-year or 160,000 km warranty on the battery.

This marks the initial phase of a €10 million total shipment, with €8 million worth of stock currently in transit from North America, France, Italy, and China, comprising 35,000 SKUs.
The Regional Parts Hub will cater to all Stellantis brands including PEUGEOT, Citroën, Alfa Romeo, Jeep, RAM, Leapmotor and more, supporting operations across 20 countries in the India and Asia Pacific region.
Set to be operational by the first quarter of 2025, the hub is a key part of Stellantis’ strategy to enhance aftersales service by reducing downtime and ensuring efficient access and availability of automotive parts and components to dealers and customers.
